Forres on Facebook!
Only a few weeks ago after a workshop we delivered for the Moray Small Business Club, David created a “Fan” page for the town of Forres on Facebook and barely 3 weeks later there are now more then 400 “Facebookers” a fan of Forres! Not that this surprises me as Forres is indeed a lovely town.
What is great to see is how quickly the word gets out and what people add to the page themselves. There are now discussions on the proposed developments at the Forres bypass, the best bars in Forres, favourite memories of Forres and over 40 photo’s uploaded by fans from all over the globe. There are Forres fans located in Aberdeen, Australia, Brazil, Cyprus, Hawaii, USA, Canada, Spain etc.
A fantastic showcase of the power of social media and how quickly it spreads. Off to Forbes hill now to take some pictures off a house as someone in Australia who used to live there as a child would like to see it as it is now. Or should i ask my photographer friend Les Hester?
