WordPress 2.7 On Its Way

One of 4TM’s favourite applications, WordPress, has announced that the release of version 2.7 is imminent.

This new release of the blog software is more than just a technical upgrade – it will include a whole new user interface and a rather funky new look.

An important update is improved statistics in the default package, helping you track how your blog is being used.  Also new is its approach to plugins – every plugin is now available for instant install in the back-end, making it much easier for non-technical users to add some of hundreds of features to their site.

There’s a link to the release candidate below – we recommend that most users wait for the final release. This will be available to users of WordPress.com too – that’s where you don’t have to install it at all, and can just use it pre-installed – for free- on their site.
