PicFog Connects Twitter Users With Pictures

PicFog has just been highlighted by Mashable, which should drive some traffic its way.

Twitter isn’t just about 140 character text messages: users can also share images, more often than not taken on their mobile phone.

PicFog shows these pictures arriving as they are tweeted, and you can filter on keywords – for example only showing images where “Gordon Brown” has been mentioned. Should you so desire.

Clicking on a photograph lets you connect with the uploader, or share the photograph with your own followers.

There are a number of services which enable short clips of audio and video to be shared – watch this space for more information. Could we be finding richer ways to communicate than text based email?

Important: PicFog does not monitor the images being displayed, so they may contain images which some people or companies consider unsuitable.
