Higher Education Twitter Survey

xin_07060329083527854654Very interesting report on the useage of Twitter by Faculty staff at Higher Education Intitutes (Colleges and Universities) in the United States of America. Some of the results are very facinating. Some professsors believe that “it creates poor writing skills and has little educational value” while others love it and say that they have found “twitter to be very useful in communicating with their students”. Personally, I can see it being used more and more at Higher Educational intitutes. For example, I can imagine a large discussion class people could tweet questions and points to be discussed in advance and during with a corresponding #tag. I think it would be very beneficial.
